Memorization exercises stall or lag

I've started noticing (only on the iOS app so far) that for memorizations beyond a certain length (maybe 1,500 words) the program starts to lag, long enough so that on the "first-letter" exercises, for example, it can't keep up with my pace. Never saw this behavior on previous versions.
